SPECIAL HELIBORNE OPERATIONS DURING HAND IN HAND 2013
Indo-China joint training
exercise Hand in Hand – 2013, progressively moved on to the next phase wherein Special
Heilbrone Operations were rehearsed today by mixed companies of the two nations
participating in the exercise.
During the day the the two contingents familiarised and learned from each others
drills on Special Heliborne Operations. The practice and rehearsals on
slithering were initially carried out from a static platform. These were
rehearsed and practiced with mutual understanding thereby refining their
drills.
Having gained adequate expertise
and proficiency, slithering was practised from two helicopters. The companies
were divided into sticks (small teams) fully equipped to operate in counter terrorism
enviornment. These special operations
for this exercise purpose will be used for establishing outer cordon or house
intervention during the live exercise on Cordon and Search
Operations to be held in the later phases.
