Your answer to this quiz: "Your name is Brig Ajai Shukla (Retd). You work as an Defence& Strategic affairs correspondent at Business Standard. You also smile at us through NDTV some times. For further details about you, you can contact them for further details."

I would have been enormously tempted to give you a special prize for the best answer... BUT YOU GOT MY RANK WRONG!

I left the army well before my batch was considered for brigadier... but I'd have been surprised if I had made it to Brigadier anyway.

  77. HJT-36 Sitara with pennant number S 3851 which flew during Aero India.

  78. @Ajai and Anon 10:55

Next time Musharaaf will come to India, I would like you to take his interview.

He was speaking too much last time. Now a soldier like you who has learned some journalism should represent India on international level.

People like you who joined army, knowing that one day may be you will sacrifice your life for nation and for people, Should be the person who should be in administration of nation ( Not chu***** who says after every scam, we can not do anything)

I can keep you and Baba Ramdev in same category. Two people who can change something for this nation.

So please start thinking about being a leader in near future. You are young and you can do that.

You are doing good journalism but this is not the place you will be best utilized, please join some party and do something really good for nation ( You are already doing very good, but we need more )

  79. If seen carefully on the right of the aircraft..PT 1 is written...which may mean prototype 1. Since , this is IJT (Intermediate jet trainer) for sure and PT 1 as per wiki hasn't flown after the Aero India incident..I am tempted to think that it is the same aircraft which now has been reworked on, to make it airworthy!!
Pardon me if I am wrong, I am just a lay man who likes following the Indian defence news.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I can only guess that is the first of the HJT36 LSPs for the IAF or the S-3851 getting ready with the IAF roundels.

So I will wait for you to answer.

However, I have a question for long which nobody has answered. I hope you could provide me some info. If you see plane behind the this plane. Only the left wing is visible. You can see wing-fences on the wing.

These wing fences were added to the S3466 recently. However none of the other prototypes including the one in this pic have the wing fences.

Are these wing fences on S3466 only for the upcoming spin tests? Or are they going to be part of the production variant?

    Thank you.
