ReplyDeleteNow thats defence Journalism. Not the usual brochure printing and judgment calls we see most of the time else where.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your stories. I hope in future you will cover some of the future plans of DRDO on UCAV and UAV-HALE also
ReplyDeleteSir, please post on number-4(Range of helicopters) first. Its a humble request. I hope you won't put it down......After knowing that you finally got details and updates on LCH. I just can't wait anymore. Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeletereally good things are coming up in your blog ...ajai, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeletehmmm tho' i am lookin forward to what DRDO has been doing nowdays, i am sorry to say that we Indians and especially DRDO is in a habit of prematurely backslapping ourselves, we have DRDO and so called defence experts claiming technology matching america but sadly we are yet to devlop a usable and deployable plane and this is after license manufacturing so many russian stuff. Yes we have come a long way but if we were so good as it has been claimed why are stopgap equipment still bieng imported to fill the delays?
ReplyDeleteThere goes off another arm chair general ! While we are at it it'll also be worthwhile to compare not only the research but also the funds, facilities and most importantly the salaries, benefit packages and attrition rates of DRDO scientists as well, besides of course the ever changing requirements of brochure reading Generals and Air Marshals. And when you do deliver a world class product in the name of further development/improvement keep delaying induction to a point where a "stop gap" import becomes inevitable. First create the gap then import to fill it, nice na...
ReplyDeleteyes, LCH story please... and sniperz11, please get the pics on Wikipedia.. with Ajai's consent
ReplyDeleteY do u go to the oil sumit? are u an oil merchant?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous @ 23 June 2008 02:55.
ReplyDeleteCheck yourself first and do some research. DRDO worked hard to develop critical technology for decades in harsh environment. Now when they are developed. DRDO is using them to bring out world class hardware as per continuously changing/product killing/senseless GSQRs from IA and IAF.....
Thanks Anonymous 23 June 2008 05:59. India really need peoples like you at top. Nevertheless peoples like you growing in number. One day things will change surely...
